One update that flew under the PlayStation Store’s shadow was the latest update to Folding@Home. The new update took Stanford’s research program to version 1.3.
This update is targeted to enhance the software’s operations for handling network errors related to the uploading and downloading of work. Sony Computer Entertainment International’s official comment on the update was:
"When communication with Stanford University’s servers is unsuccessful, the application will now try an effective method of attempting to reconnect based on the specific error condition."
In order to upgrade Folding@Home to the latest version, all that needs to be done is to start the program. The program will notify you of the latest available update and ask you to download and install. After waiting a while for the process to finish (if you’re a DMC 4 owner you know the sandwich making drill, lol) the new update will be ready to go and your PS3 will be back on track to help fight all sorts of diseases!
