The regular Fornite update today, which usually takes place every Tuesday, is not going ahead. Instead Epic Games plans to launch Fortnite update 5.30 on Thursday.
The release of the update on Thursday means that the Season 5 Week 7 challenge will now launch on Friday. The news was confirmed via the Fortnite Twitter account, stating:
Patch v5.30 is right around the corner! It will release later in the week on Thursday, August 23. Week 7 Challenges will become available Friday, August 24.
Though the Fortnite update 5.30 patch notes are yet to be released, dataminers believe that it could introduce the new grappling hook or zip line gadget.
