The free PS4 game for PlayStation Plus in March 2015 is rumoured to be Helldivers, the top-down shooter title from Arrowhead Game Studios.
Helldivers will offer cross-play and cross-save functionality between PS4, PS3 and PS Vita and is due to launch on March 3, 2015, which coincides with the update to the Instant Game Collection on the PlayStation Store.
Not only does Helldivers launch when the PS Plus update kicks in, but a price for the game has still yet to be revealed, which is unusual for a title so close to launch. Though the developer has yet to confirm the news, it has recently hinted that Helldivers could well be the free PS4 game next month.
PushSquare spotted the following comment on Reddit from Arrowhead when fans flagged up the exclusion of a price in its latest announcement:
"Well, we didn’t want to ruin the surprise and announce everything at once – you need something else to look forward to."
The developer quickly backtracked and edited the post, stating that they were “making a joke about the [game’s] price, and not anything related to the PlayStation Plus lineup."
The March PS Plus line-up is usually revealed at the end of the previous month, so we only have just over a week before we find out!
