A legal dispute surrounding Gun Media’s Friday the 13th: The Game earlier this year put an end to new content. However, the game has had continued support with bug fixes from development partner, IllFonic.
With all contracted work from IllFonic coming to an end, Gun Media has now confirmed a new development partner, Japan-based Black Tower Studios.
In a press release, Gun Media states:
Black Tower Studios are very familiar with the project, having previously assisted IllFonic in the creation of content for the past year, including work on the Pinehurst and Jarvis House maps. We are confident in the team’s ability to continue supporting Friday the 13th: The Game.
Of course, it’s still disappointing that no new content is planned for Friday the 13th: The Game, but it’s still good to know for its loyal fan-base that optimization and bug fixes are on the agenda moving forward.
