Speculation that The Last Guardian may not be shown at E3 next month has reared its head after project lead Fumito Ueda confirmed that he won’t be in attendance at the Los Angeles-based event.
Ueda-san dropped the news on Twitter, casting doubts as to whether or not press will be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the boy-meets-griffin beast adventure at the show.
The Last Guardian was last shown at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010, where Team ICO confirmed the game would be released this holiday season. However, it was later delayed and will most likely not show up until 2012.
Ueda previously hinted that a demo of the game might be included with the forthcoming Shadow of the Colossus/ICO Collection, due out later this year.
