GAME Australia exposes Black Ops Escalation map pack DLC

Retailer GAME Australia today outed the second downloadable map pack for Activision’s FPS juggernaut, Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Titled ‘Escalation,’ the DLC pack will feature five new multiplayer maps. According to the GAME flier — now pulled from its site, but captured by VG247 — locales will include a zoo, a hotel, a convoy (on a highway?) and more.

As part of a three-year exclusivity deal with Microsoft, Activision will release the Escalation Pack first on Xbox Live. It’s set to arrive on May 3, 2011 for Xbox 360. PlayStation and PC release dates and the pack’s price point have yet to be confirmed, though we’ve contacted Activision to inquire about those details. We’ll keep you updated when we hear back.

The first Black Ops map pack, First Strike, launched in February for Xbox Live, and arrived on the PlayStation Network a month later for $14.99 USD.

UPDATE: Activision refused to comment regarding Escalation’s PS3 release date and price point.
