Strauss Zelnick, CEO of publishing behemoth Take-Two, reckons video games will deliver visuals on par with real life in about a decade.
Take-Two Boss Says Games Will Look Like Real Life In 10 Years
Speaking at the UBS Global TMT Virtual Conference yesterday, Zelnick reckons that creators will be able to offer photorealistic visuals in 10 years time thanks to the advancement in technology.
Technology will allow our creative folks to do things they’ve never been able to do before, including make games that look exactly like live action. What we do now looks a lot like live action, but it’s still animation. In 10 years, you will have to option if you want to make things that look completely realistic, all done inside of a computer.

Elsewhere, the executive saids that Take-Two will “probably” complete its acquisition of Codemasters in the first quarter of next year.
