Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 first gameplay screenshot released

The first in-game screenshot for Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 has been released.

The game announced at E3 2012 is the sequel to the critically-acclaimed 2010 Castlevania: Lords of Shadows and is developed by Mercury Stream who previously worked on Clive Barker’s Jericho.

The series follows Gabriel Belmont, a member of the Brotherhood of Light, and features an all-star cast including Robert Carlyle, Jason Issacs and Patrick Stewart.

In the original Lords of Shadow, Gabriel faces all manner of nightmare creatures ranging from vampires to werewolves and will utilize a heavy combo system reminiscent of God of War. Other features include puzzle elements, challenging platforming sections and gigantic bosses. With over 50 levels, this game has a ton of content, replay value and breathtaking vistas to keep you coming back for more.

In Lords of Shadow 2, Gabriel will ascend to become Dracula and deal with the rest of the Belmont clan, who all want him dead.

You can pick up the first game for a good price now around £15.

With Far Cry 3 launching this month, Ubisoft have been releasing weekly episodes of their parody documentary series based on the game’s lore.

Far Cry 3: The Lost Expedition trailer

The pre-order pack for Far Cry 3 called The Lost Expeditions is set in the seedy underbelly of this savage island in a set of ancient World War II ruins which contain the lost secrets of the island.

In two exclusive missions covering 40 extra minutes of gameplay, all your skills will be put to the test in order for you to escape the World War II ruins. What mysteries lie in the depths of this upside down paradise?

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn – End of an Era trailer

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV will eventually be releasing on the PlayStation 3. A massive MMO RPG the game still retains elements from the long standing series and is graphically impressive for a MMO.
