Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb has weighed in on the hot topic of Microsoft reportedly looking to bring its major Xbox-exclusive to PS5, claiming that Gears of War is also being considered to come to Sony’s console.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, Microsoft is heavily rumoured to be bringing a number of major games to the PS5, with Hi-Fi Rush, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Sea of Thieves, and Starfield all being considered. Furthermore, it has been reported that Microsoft has been investing heavily in PS5 dev kits for ongoing development projects.
Now, Grubb claims that one of Xbox’s biggest exclusives may also end up on Sony’s current-generation platform.
The other one that I’ve heard that’s definitely under consideration—it doesn’t mean that it’s going to happen, but it’s in talks—is Gears of War,” Grubb said on Monday. Gears of War is being considered for this.
Nothing official has been made in regards to any of the above titles coming to PlayStation formats, although hopefully Microsoft will address the rumours soon enough.
