PlayStation Game Size on X has revealed the Gears of War Reloaded PS5 file size, revealing the iconic cover-based shooter will weigh in at 63.103GB on Sony’s console. Gears of War is obviously a major Xbox-exclusive IP, so its arrival on a PlayStation system is a pretty big deal.
Gears of War Reloaded is slated for release on August 26, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, although you can preload it from August 21 if you digitally pre-order the game. In case you missed it, you can pre-order the physical version of Gears of War Reloaded for PS5 at Amazon now.

Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War Reloaded is a spruced up version of the original 2006 cover-based shooter, and features a wealth of improvements for modern platforms. Among the highlights includes remastered textures, 4K assets, enhanced post-processing visual effects, support for 60 FPS during the campaign and 120 FPS for multiplayer, and 4K resolution among other features.
Originally released on Xbox 360 back in Fall 2006, Gears of War pioneered a whole generation of cover-based shooters, and follows Marcus Fenix and pals as they battle against the Locust, a subterranean race of genocidal creatures that attempt to overthrow the human race on the planet of Sera.
