Gears of War Reloaded marks the first time the popular franchise will be available for a PlayStation console, and if you’re interested in picking up a physical copy of the game, you can preorder it on Amazon now.
Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War Reloaded is a spruced up version of the original 2006 cover-based shooter, and features a wealth of improvements for modern platforms. Among the highlights includes remastered textures, 4K assets, enhanced post-processing visual effects, support for 60 FPS during the campaign and 120 FPS for multiplayer, and 4K resolution among other features.

Gears of War Reloaded features all post-launch content that was included in the original game’s run, such as the additional campaign act, all multiplayer maps and modes, as well all classic characters and cosmetic. Cross-Play is also integrated and no Microsoft account is required.
A release date of August 26, 2025 has been set for Gears of War Reloaded on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The first phase of the game’s Multiplayer Beta will kick off today and runs until June 15.
