Ubisoft has confirmed that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been delayed. During the company’s investor’s briefing today, CEO Yves Guillemot said the game has slipped from its initial Holiday 2010 launch period because of competition.
“Due to a very competitive environment, we decided to move the game out of the Christmas quarter, and into the March quarter.” This will, of course, give the game additional development time, hopefully resulting in a more play-tested game.
It looks like last fall’s trend of delaying games because of heavy hitters is going to be the norm moving forward.
