One of the more intriguing games to launch next year comes from the back of a popular 1980s film, Ghostbusters.
Stars such as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson all are coming back to lend their voice talents to what will seem to be a great getaway game for 2008. What is even better is the ability to play the game online with Ghostbusters fanatics around the world.
Ghostbusters will be on almost every game format excluding the PSP, and will feature a robust multiplayer mode that will mostly be influenced from the PS2 and Wii versions. Developed by Red Fly, Ghostbusters introduces a mode called Ghost vs Busters.
In this mode, gamers will be thrown into two different teams, the Ghostbusters team and a team of ghost. It is a pretty much straightforward hide and seek style mode that is promised to bring fun and excitement to the PS2 online community. Then there will be a few other ghost catching modes to add to the depth.
According to the UK Official Xbox Magazine, a co-op mode is in the works though it is unknown if it will actually make the final game, as the developers does not want to distract from the concept of gamers playing as a newbie to the Ghostbusters team. However, they still have not ruled out that there are possibilities of getting around that.
Stay tuned for more updates here at PSU.
