There’s nothing like questing to kill some time while gaining a sense of progression. In an effort to evolve the PlayStation Rewards program, Sony today announced the addition of Quests. These PlayStation-related quests will have a direct impact on your progression meter.
The PlayStation Rewards program, launching next April, is Sony’s way of rewarding loyal PlayStation 3 owners. By partaking in various activities, like watching original PSN programming or exploring Home, players can progress through the program’s three tiers—select, pro, and legendary status. You can win exclusive prizes and memorabilia throughout the year.
In response to feedback from beta participants, the new Quests allow players to earn more points towards legendary status. So far, the quests sound relatively basic, but Sony promises “crafty new” quests throughout the year.
Have an eligible PlayStation Move game? You could earn points by completing the “Move It” quest. Or, you can watch the PULSE in HD to complete the “Check Your Pulse” quest. Nine quests will be available tomorrow for those in beta.
