God Eater heading west in Q3 2010

The PlayStation Portable game God Eater is headed to North America in Q3 2010, D3Publisher announced recently. The action RPG, which holds a striking resemblance to the Monster Hunter series, has been quite successful in Japan, with the demo hitting some 1.5 million downloads.

The game features more than 100 missions, and fast-paced action based on strategy that can be changed at any time. You can switch weapon forms to slash, shoot, and devour gigantic enemies and customize bullets to alter the strength, pattern and elemental type for super powerful attacks.

One of the highlights of God Eater is its cooperative modes, with up to four players via local adhoc mode or through the PlayStation 3 adhocParty. If you can’t fill your party, you can play with AI controller members.

You’ll get to create your own hero, and battle more than 35 unique types of enemies using items found throughout the game that will customize your weapons. If you are interested in learning more, you can check the game’s website, or you can hang on until Q3 to get the North American version.
