The director behind the hotly anticipated God of War on PlayStation 4 has issued a brief update on the development of the action-adventure title, as well as hinting that the Kratos’ latest outing may include branching pathways.
New God of War details
Speaking on Twitter, Cory Barlog responded to a user who noted that one of the God of War gameplay walkthroughs featured a different path to the one showcased during Sony’s E3 2016 press conference.
@Filthy_Mortze yup. Showed him an alternate path. He got to play a little too. First person from outside the studio to get to play it.

Elsewhere, Barlog attempted to quell any fears that the game’s development has hit a few roadblocks in light of comments regarding lack of manpower.
@Codelyoko_1 Nothing to worry about. Dev teams always need people, games are big and complicated. It’s going well, just incredibly hectic.

Sony has yet to confirm a God of War release date, although it has been suggested the game will be released at some point in 2017. The game features an older Kratos accompanied by his son, who the bald anti-hero is schooling in the ways of hunting and ogre-slaying. This time around, Kratos is able to master his rage that has often gotten the better of him in previous installments, and finds himself up against creatures based on Norse mythology.
