Polyphony Digital’s Eric Fishback has teased that the upcoming seventh instalment in the long-running Gran Turismo franchise will be the best yet.
Speaking at the Worldwide Studios Town Hall panel at the PlayStation Experience over the weekend (via GamePur), Fishback commented:
“What you can expect from Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 4, which is the strongest console ever, is the best Gran Turismo you can imagine.”
Gran Turismo has become notorious for its lengthy development cycles, with GT5 on PlayStation 3 taking around five years to materialize. However, things started to improve with GT6, which arrived just three years after its predecessor.
Sony has shared few details on GT7 to date, although presumably it’s still a long way off. Polyphony previously commented that the added hardware capabilities of the PS4 will make an ‘incredible difference’ to the franchise.
