Speaking during an interview with VideoGamer, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed he’s keen to have the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport fully compatible with PlayStation VR on release day.
Yamauchi-san revealed that the development team is "trying to support [PlayStation VR] from launch. It’s a good timing for it.
"My plan is that Gran Turismo Sport will be compatible to allow all aspects of [the game] to be experienced in VR," added Yamauchi-san. "We’ve been compatible with 3D before, in GT6 we’ve been compatible with Oculus, so it’s just a continuation of that."
Gran Turismo Sport has been confirmed for a November 2016 release exclusively on PlayStation 4. PlayStation VR, meanwhile, is scheduled to hit stores in October. Check out the first footage of the game here.
Sony announced the latest instalment in the racing franchise at Paris Games Week last October, although the planned beta for the game has been canceled.
