Sony has revealed more details today on the PS4 exclusive racer, Gran Turismo Sport, including the first comparison of cars in HDR and non-HDR.

Check out the videos below for an SDR to HDR comparison, and click here for more GT Sport screenshots.

We’ve also got to hear a little bit more about Gran Turismo Sport’s PlayStation VR feature. We already know that it will limited to one versus one on the tracks, but now we’ve got confirmation that we’ll be able to race against another AI opponent across 27 of the tracks and get to race in over 135 cars!

Other Gran Turismo Sport details, which have been revealed in the comprehensive feature on the PlayStation Blog, include the introduction of advanced matchmaking, which will pit players against others of a similar ability.

Sony has gone into more detail about how this works, confirming that matchmaking is based on three metrics.

• Driver Level — Your driver level increases with XP gained in races.

• Sportsmanship Rating (“Sport Mode”) — Just like in real world driving, we want to reward those that drive, and race, clean. So stick to the track, and limit the number of collisions to secure a positive sportsmanship rating.

• Driver Rating (“Sport Mode”) — Starting on E, you can build towards achieving the coveted “S” rating — but watch out, a bad sportsmanship rating will limit your ability to progress.
