Grand Theft Auto PS2 Trilogy has been patched to support 60Hz/30fps

Sony has begun polishing up the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy for PlayStation 4 in Europe to support 60Hz/30fps.

Previously, the open-world crime bundle was locked at 50Hz, which resulted in a choppy framerate.

However, thanks to Sony’s update, both Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City now run at 30fps, improving their performance markedly. However, at the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has yet to be patched.

The update ensures that the first two PS2 classics perform on par with their North American counterparts and better than the original European releases.

GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas can be purchased via the PlayStation Store for PS4 separately at £11.99 each, or as part of a bundle costing £28.99.
