Grand Theft Auto VI Animations Reportedly Featured In Demo Reel For Rockstar Animator

Benjamin Chue, an animator for Rockstar Games, has seemingly included animations from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI for their demo reel.

The video was spotted by Reddier user throwaway-sadkid8012 and was posted on Vimo, offering a look some of the work Chue has been involved with over they years, a large chunk of which is from Rockstar Games-deveoped titles. This includes work-in-progress footage from Red Dead Redemption 2, Max Payne 3, and Grand Theft Auto V — however, the first two clips are supposedly from GTA VI.

Unsurprisingly, the video was swiftly taken down, but users were able to download it and then re-upload the footage, allowing players to scrutinise it in full.

The first clip depicts a male character hopping on a rental bike after removing it from its stands, and is followed by a second animation where the character places it back on the stand and getting off the bike. The obvious indication here is that GTA VI will allow players to rent bikes in the game, with the stands for the bikes themselves said to be seen in the latest trailer according to some users on Reddit.

There’s also a second clip of two more animations, this time showing a female character (speculated to be one of the protagonists, Lucia) as she is sitting in the back of a truck before swinging around to jump off and then going from the roof other truck, jumping into the back, and then to the ground.

GTA VI was initially scheduled to ship in Fall 2025 before being pushed to May 2026. Rockstar announced earlier this month that the open-world crime opus has been pushed back again, this time to November 19, 2026. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick later said that the publisher was ‘highly confident‘ in the game’s new release date.
