Speaking during its Q3 2026 earnings overnight, Take-Two reiterated that Grand Theft Auto VI is still slated to launch on November 19, 2026, and that marketing efforts for the highly anticipated open-world title will get underway this summer.
Speaking in a statement sent to IGN, the publishing giant made it clear that it’s confident the game will meet its release date after being delayed twice already.
Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.
Furthermore, IGN spoke to Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick, and asked the executive how he felt about GTA VI’s November 2026 release date, prompting him to reply, “I feel good about it. Very good about it.” As previously reported, Strauss also denied reports that the physical version of GTA VI would be delayed to after release in an effort to avoid leaks.
The Take-Two CEO also stated that while he’s enthusiastic about AI in general, the use of generative AI has ‘zero part‘ in Rockstar’s development of GTA VI.
