Fresh from the news that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will in fact be an episodic adventure, Capcom has unleashed a virtual barrage of grisly new screenshots for its latest horror offering – and it’s left our stomachs a little queasy.
The screens, seen below, hark back to the Resident Evil of old – which we’re sure will be welcomed – by containing some truly disgusting monster concoctions and a distinct feeling of desolation. Additionally, things are decidedly darker this time around as Claire Redfield and Moira Burton traverse an eerie facility within a seemingly abandoned island.
We also get a first-look at what seems to be the ‘’Afflicted’’, the new enemy type that is sure to induce a whole manner of nightmares. Different to standard zombie fodder, the Afflicted are stronger, deadlier and move a lot faster – best avoid them we think.
