GT5 will include 3D, Move support if it’s "interesting" says dev

Polyphony Digital chief Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that his studio is willing to incorporate new technology such as PlayStation Move and 3D in Gran Turismo 5, should the upcoming tech prove “interesting.”

Speaking with magazine PSM3, the Gran Turismo creator stated, “We’re always attuned to new technologies. If there are display devices or peripherals that seem interesting, I’m sure we’ll work to support them.”

Reports suggesting that the racing sequel will include both Move and 3D support have surfaced in recent weeks, though were subsequently dispelled by Sony. The most recent example cropped up in Friday’s Qore, which featured a list of titles that would supposedly feature 3D support, GT5 included. However, the list was apparently for “demonstration purposes” only.

Gran Turismo 5 has yet to attract a release date, though Yamauchi and team have promised that it’ll be out this year. Fingers crossed, eh?
