GT5 will ‘very probably’ get simultaneous global release

Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has reiterated that GT5’s release is looming ever closer, noting there’s a high chance that the hotly anticipated racing title may receive a simultaneous worldwide launch.

Speaking to Multiplayer.it, Yamauchi commented, “The game is still under development but its release is not too far, it will be after the PSP GT release and, very probably, it will be a simultaneous world release." Elsewhere, the Polyphony Digital boss also said that the list of features that popped up on GT5’s official website a few weeks back – such as the mention of 1,000 cars and YouTube integration – were indeed the real deal.

“We would like to wait to publish them, but what you read on the site is true," said Yamauchi. Finally, he confirmed that the game would run at a blistering 60fps in full 1080p resolution.

Sounds to us like there’s every chance we’ll see GT5 on store shelves before the year’s end. Keep those fingers crossed.
