GTA 6 Announcement Has Put Publisher Take-Two In ‘Growth Mode’ Says CEO

Take-Two head honcho Strauss Zelnick has revealed during an interview with IGN that he feels the publishing powerhouse is now in full ‘growth mode’ after putting behind what has been a pretty tough year for the industry, which has been hit by multiple layoffs.

One of the biggest upcoming titles from Take-Two is obviously GTA 6, and earlier this week Rockstar Games confirmed that it would be showcasing the game’s first title in early December. While a release date has yet to be announced, Take-Two is gearing up for a “highly anticipated year” for FY25.

We’ve already gotten through the right-sizing we felt we needed to do, and we expect to be in growth mode going forward. We expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow,. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering even higher levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond.

Speaking in a separate interview this week, Zelnick revealed that he thinks generative AI has the ability to make NPCs “really interesting and fun,” but wouldn’t confirm if the feature is present in GTA 6 or not.
