GTA: Chinatown Wars coming to PSP

Rockstar has confirmed that portable crime romp Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be unleashed for PSP this fall.

Developed by British studio Rockstar Leeds, Chinatown Wars was originally released for Nintendo DS earlier this year, and will be available for Sony users on both UMD and as a digital download.

Rockstar founder Sam Houser commented: "We’re proud to extend this truly unique handheld Grand Theft Auto experience to PSP and offer a downloadable version of Chinatown Wars for PSPgo.”

"Rockstar Leeds has shown incredible talent in creating games that raise the bar in terms of depth and innovation on portables, and with Chinatown Wars we have a rich, fast-paced, and incredibly addictive entry into the series."

The game will take special advantage of the PSP’s innards, boasting upscaled widescreen visuals, meatier lighting and animation effects and all-new story missions. Let’s hope it’ll prove more popular on Sony’s handheld than DS, as initial sales figures weren’t exactly encouraging.
