For months now users have been begging for a truly great title to be brought to the PlayStation Network from the original PlayStation. Even though we’ve been supplied with Crash Bandicoot and Jet Moto, it never seemed to be enough to hold us over. We were always asking for the bigger and better title. Well, we think Sony may have heard us all.
Instead of lining up just one solid title, Sony has seemingly given the Official PlayStation Magazine there of them. According to their latest issue, Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto II, and Street Fighter Alpha should all be making their appearance for download on the PSN. These two franchises have been key cornerstones for the PlayStation brand and it only makes sense that they would eventually find themselves on the downloadable side of things.
As most of us know the original over-the-top GTA games were what gave Rockstar their huge success. For the younger crowd who haven’t yet had the chance to experience these titles, you’re in for a surprise. They’re nothing like San Andreas or Vice City, they’re unique to themselves and beyond respectable. So for everyone out there waiting for GTA IV, maybe we can spend that time playing the founding father of the franchise before release.
Official release dates haven’t been given, but we’ll keep you posted on when they are.
