GTA Online was released shortly following the release of GTA 5 back in September 2015, and remains consistently popular with gamers. In fact, it’s widely believed that Rockstar Games decided to shelve plans for its planned single-player DLC for the main campaign in order to focus on its multiplayer content due to its enduring popularity. The Heists expansion was one of the first major expansions for GTA Online, launching in early 2015.
