Speculation regarding the release date for Grand Theft Auto V is nothing new. After all, ever since Rockstar unveiled the game back in November 2011, industry commentators have been quick to pin a date on the hotly-anticipated crime romp.
However, hope sprung up this week when retailer Zavvi listed the open-world game for release on November 23, 2012 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. Of course, there are many who believe the title won’t ship until after March 2013 – Rockstar has yet to say either way, though.
In response to the date, an anonymous retail source informed OXM, “bet my wife, my house and your life on it not coming out this year.”
GTA V was unveiled via brief teaser trailer late last year, though aside from a handful of new screenshots we’ve seen nothing on the game since.
