GTA VI Publisher Take-Two Is Looking To Launch 29 Games By 2029

Grand Theft Auto VI publisher Take-Two has revealed that it plans to release 29 games during the FY 27 – 29 period, which will include titles spanning multiple genres as well as remasters/remakes of previous games.

Speaking during its latest financial results, the publishing powerhouse noted that of the planned 29 titles, 15 of them are made up of core franchises, including eight full sequels and seven titles that are listed as remakes, remasters and platform extensions. Six of them are planned to ship during the 2028 and 2029 fiscal year, and there’s eight sports titles on the horizon including yearly efforts such as NBA 2K27, WWE 2K27, and PGA Tour 2K27.

Beyond that, Take-Two also highlighted three new core IPs that will be launching during this period, one of which is surely Ghost Story Games’ Judas and the other 31st Union’s Project ETHOS. So, that leaves one mysterious new IP that the publisher has yet to unveil.

Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick revealed during a recent interview that the release of GTA VI is about 18 months behind schedule, which means it was initially set to arrive around Spring 2025. The game is now set to release on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
