Phase 1 Guacamelee! 2: How to Beat Salvador
Salvador uses twin giant snakes in phase 1. They will come from below and the sides of the game. Through they are twin serpents; they attack differently but often times simultaneously. They shoot laser beam, burrow underground and attack from below, and fire missiles using their mouth.
To defeat the two snakes with ease, max out Chamoya Fitness skill tree and unlock Mindful Meditation. Then avoid the snakes’ attacks by rolling out or bend under their lasers. And to recover health or stamina, press down.
Do not use a single move, rather combine attacks like Frog Slam, Rooster Uppercut, and Dash Punch to inflict greater damage. Aim for the snake’s head and knock out them one at a time. When you already eliminate one snake, Salvador will now bombard you with missiles. Avoid the missiles and kill the second snake. By this time, Salvador goes down to face you on Phase 2.
Phase 2 Guacamelee! 2: How to Beat Salvador
Salvador will now spur three snakes from his back. This is the time that you should transform into a chicken but don’t chicken out. You should use your Pollo Shot to penetrate Salvador’s purple shield. And then he’ll use his orange shield and attack you so use Pollo Slide this time to hit him.
Salvador will not stop so he will go up and hit you with flying elbow. The 3 snakes also attack when he lands so you need to roll out of this. Also, while he’s up in the air, the 3 serpents will strike down so again roll to dodge. If you got bitten, use Mindful Meditation to heal.
Watch out when Salvador rolls around and glows because this means he’ll release a full blown attack. You need to jump to avoid the hit. Keep your attack combinations coming whenever possible. To break his colored shields, match your hit with its color. Use Rooster Uppercut for red shield, Dash Punch for blue, Frog Slam for green, Pollo Slide for orange, Pollo Shot for purple, and KO Headbutt for gold.
Just continue doing this and Salvador will fall down in no time.
