Guerilla Games Killzone 2 Details

Guerrilla Games is still giving us information on their heavily anticipated Killzone 2. Here’s a new interview up with Killzone 2 Game Director Mathijs De Jonge and Producer Steven Ter Heide on the game from 1UP.

The team starts of by describing the level that made the popular Killzone debut at E3 ’07 as purely one level of the game. The level itself isn’t representative of the whole game’s direction, and is still not final.

For a few moments they describe the demo and then go on to say how they are "aiming" for a 2008 release and hope to do a public beta soon.

Digging to the past, Heide states that the team’s response to the original trailer’s debut was purely that of mixed feelings. They knew that they had to satisfy a huge hype, and deliver on their promise that was a part of the original E3 ’05 vision.

Both the producer and director give their comments on user generated content, which is yet to be decided for Killzone 2, and further detail Home and LittleBigPlanet as definitely phenomenal and unbelievably innovative.

Afterwards, the team details that they will focus more in making sure the visual appeal will match the E3 ’05 trailer, as a lot more work is to be done further, and to make sure there are zero flaws in gameplay.

Killzone 2 is slated for 2008, and we’re sure a lot of people are looking forward to it.
