PS4 Remote Play Not Working – Sony’s Remote Play feature has been a brilliant addition to the PS4 and is still used by many today to enjoy games by streaming them to PS Vita, PC and Mac. However, the feature isn’t without its technical hiccups, and chances are you’ve encountered many instances where PS4 Remote Play isn’t working properly.
Follow our guide on possible fixes.
PS4 Remote Play Not Working, How To Fix
The most common problem with Remote Play is connectivity issues. As such, Sony recommends utilising a wired Internet connection for better stability, although if you are using WiFi, then make sure the PS4 is close to the router.
In addition, make sure that any devices you are using the eat up large bandwidth are idle before using Remote Play. In addition, your PC’s antivirus software may also interfere with Remote Play, so it’s a good idea to add Remote Play to the firmware exceptions to ensure it doesn’t affect your connection.
Finally, Sony recommends ensuring the ports UDP 9296, UDP 9297, UDP 9303 are open. If a port can’t be used, then you’ll have to adjust your router’s port forward setting so that it allows communication with your PS4 from the Internet.
