Publisher Activision today announced that the latest instalment in the popular Guitar Hero franchise, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be released in European territories on November 23.
Guitar Hero III pays tribute to rock legends including Guns ‘N Roses guitarist Slash, who features as a boss character in the game and can also be unlocked as a playable artist.
Gameplay is largely derived from that of the original Guitar Hero and it’s sequel, though Legends of Rock also introduces a brand new offering in the form of Battle Mode. Here, players compete against each other by playing a song and racking up Star Power sequences allowing them to launch attacks against their opponent.
The PlayStation 2 version features an exclusive wireless guitar based on the Kramer model, while next-generation console versions will be based on the infamous Gibson Les Paul.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is due out in North America on October 28.
