Guitar Hero IV in 2008?

The Guitar Hero franchise has been a hit success and the latest title has been flying off the shelves as the game proves to still be in great demand after being released a little over two months ago. Although Activision has put together a great formula for success, they are not ready to sit around and watch, or so says rock group, The Answer.

The unlikely announcement of the next Guitar Hero game came from the band after being picked out at the Marché international de l’édition musicale (or Midem conference) held at the end of January. Their song "Never Too Late" was picked by Activision and their panel of experts to be featured in Guitar Hero IV. Over 200 songs were submitted and 20 were picked including the one from The Answer.

The Answer are obviously excited to have their song in the game as the sales of the game and its downloadable content have boosted featured band’s sales incredibly.

"This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label," said James Cassidy, UK boss of music label Alberts. "With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success."

Guitar Hero IV is expected to be released at the end of 2008.
