It appears that today’s slew of ‘Hero’ related announcements has not yet ceased; we have yet another one for you. The rumored Guitar Hero: Van Halen has now been confirmed by Activision.
Speaking to Joystiq, Activision revealed that the game will arrive sometime in the second half of 2009. Along with boatloads of Van Halen tracks, the game will feature a healthy dose of guest acts including Queen, Weezer, blink-182, The Offspring, Queens of the Stone Age, and more.
Guitar Hero: Van Halen is the third band-oriented Guitar Hero game, preceded by Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero: Metallica.
