Gust has confirmed at the Dengeki Game Festival that a new instalment in the Atelier franchise is coming to PlayStation 3.
Due out in Japan in June 2012, the game is currently in the works under the codename Project A14, and will be an ‘all new’ entry in the acclaimed RPG series.
As such, it’ll ditch all elements of past games and start with a clean slate – new characters, a new universe, and new gameplay mechanics.
The development team also welcomes some fresh faces, such as a new character designer who hasn’t had any previous experience working on the Atelier franchise.
No western release has been confirmed as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned.
