Boss Team Games, the publisher behind Evil Dead: The Game has its next two projects firmly cemented in classic horror franchises once more, as a report from IGN reveals the studio is working on two new Halloween games.
One of the titles will be built using Unreal Engine 5, but both of them have John Carpenter involved and will be created in collaboration with the producers behind the classic horror film franchise.
It’s not totally clear what the games will be, but a poster from IGN’s report seems to indicate that one of the titles will be called Halloween: The Game, and that both of them will be based off the original 1978 film, though it’s unclear if elements from later titles will be brought it.
The original director for the film that established Michael Myers as one of horror’s scariest boogeymen is himself a certified gamer, and sounds excited about these new titles.
“As a huge gamer myself, I’m thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly.” IGN’s report also claims that Carpenter will be “intimately involved” with the projects.
There’s also no indication as to when we’ll see these games launch, and what platforms they’ll launch on, so for now we wait until more can be revealed.
