HBO’s The Last Of Us continues to grow its cast for Season 2 with the announcement of Young Mazino to play Jesse, one of Ellie’s good friends from Jackson who aids her on her trip to Seattle.
Viewers will recognize Mazino mostly from his starring role as Paul in the critically acclaimed Beef, a role that also earned him an Emmy nomination.
Mazino’s announcement arrives only a day after the reveal that Kaitlyn Dever will be taking on the role of Abby. It’ll be interesting to see if we continue to get more announcements before the end of the week.
Especially considering that filming for Season 2 has reportedly already kicked off, in order to make a 2025 release window.
Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann expressed great gratitude to have Mazino a part of the cast.
“Young is one of those rare actors who is immediately undeniable the moment you see him. We’re so lucky to have him, and we can’t wait for the audience to see Young shine in our show.”
