Square Enix has re-dubbed the trailer released for Final Fantasy XV at TGS 2014, effectively revealing what the English cast sounds like—and that Final Fantasy XV might be closer to completion than we had previously thought.
The trailer, below, is the same footage of lead character Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto traveling across the land to an unknown destination. As before, we get serious road-trip vibes and a sense of the camaraderie between these men.
The voices clarify the personalities these characters will have. Noctis, as expected, is brooding and subdued. Prompto is eager and rambunctious. Ignis is sophisticated and intelligent to the point of pretentious.
It’s unclear whether this is gameplay footage taken directly from the English version of the game or English voices dubbed over the existing footage. Regardless, some English voiceover has taken place. If the voices have indeed already been incorporated into the playable game, a North American release in 2015 seems likely.
