Developer Ninja Theory has confirmed that the PS4 Pro version of Hellblade will run at 1440p during the game’s Enhanced Mode.
The studio confirmed the news during an interview with WCCFTech, where the company also revealed that HDR support would not be included at launch. However, the feature looks likely to be implemented at a later date.
“Not at launch but it is on our wish list as we would love to see what it can do for a game like this that focuses so much on image quality,” commented Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades.
For those who don’t know, Hellblade will offer PS4 Pro users two modes that offer either an enhanced resolution or increased frame rate of 60fps.
In addition, Antoniades revealed on Twitter that the game will support a number of difficulty modes. “Yes. We have a few difficulty modes. Default is an auto mode that scales difficulty to player performance. We also have easy, medium & hard.”
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC on August 8, 2017. The hack-’n-slash action game is heavily influenced by Celtic and Norse mythology, and sees players following Senua as she embarks on a bloody quest through a hellish underworld birthed from her own psychotic manifestations.
