Johan Pilestedt, Creative Director on Helldivers 2, has revealed that the game has around 2.5 million players engaged in the bug-blasting sequel each week.

Helldivers 2’s latest major update, Heart of Democracy, rolled out earlier this week and marked a major turning point for the game as Super Earth has been invaded. Prior to this, the Illuminate Faction was added to Helldivers 2, bringing with it new enemies and weapon customisations.
Arrowhead Game Studio recently confirmed that its next title has been 100% funded by the company, but had nothing but positive things to say about its work with Sony and hasn’t ruled out teaming up with them again.
