Helldivers 2 was revealed by developer Arrowhead Games back in May during a PlayStation Showcase, and it’s likely we’ll find out what its release date is during today’s State Of Play, where we now know it’ll be featured with new gameplay.
PlayStation confirmed that Helldivers 2 would be featured in a tweet ahead of the State Of Play event, and with rumours circling that Helldivers 2 is aiming for an October release, it would make plenty of sense for the release date to appear now.

Rumours only point to the month of October, not a specific date, though with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arriving in the middle of the month, it would make sense for Helldivers 2 to arrive sometime in the beginning of the month.
Lest it be overshadowed by the web of excitement Spider-Man is likely to create, not to mention the other big titles also releasing this October.
Even if the release date isn’t there, at least there will be some new gameplay players can tide themselves over with until the release actually does arrive.
