The latest GSD data has revealed that Arrowhead Game Studios‘ Helldivers 2 has proven to be a major hit in the UK, becoming the number one game in the region for February 2024 and seeing 57% of its sales from the PS5 version of the game.
Not only did Helldivers 2 managed to achieve a strong chart presence last month, but it also saw sales increase week-on-week, when traditionally games see a small decline following launch. In Helldivers 2’s case though, the game’s second week on the market saw sales spike nearly 115%, and then 21% in its third week.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, Helldivers 2’s first three weeks on the market were only 28% lower in sales than what Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 achieved during its own first three weeks on sale last year.
Less successful was Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with its first four weeks seeing 20% fewer sales than Gotham Knights and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. As such, the game performed below publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Enteretaiment’s expectations.
Skull and Bones from Ubisoft managed to hit number eight in the UK charts, although its two week opening saw 75% fewer sales than 2018’s pirate title Sea of Thieves.
