Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 update 6.2.6 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S players to download, and this is a major patch for Sony console owners as it brings a number of image enhancing improvements. Chiefly, we get the addition of improved PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) for PS5 Pro, as well as improvements to AMD FSR upscaling image quality for Sony’s console. There’s also a number of other bug fixe and improvements, which you can read in the full patch notes below.
Helldivers 2 was released in February 2024 for PS5 and PC, and received an Xbox Series X/S version in August 2025. There’s currently a movie adaptation of the series in the pipeline, with Fast & Furious director Justin Lin at the helm; however, Jason Momoa is reportedly no longer attached to star, so the project is looking for someone to take his place.
– [PC] Improved image quality when using NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR or Intel XeSS upscaling.
– [Xbox] Improved AMD FSR upscaling image quality
– [PS5] Improved AMD FSR upscaling image quality
– [PS5 Pro] Improved Sony PSSR upscaling image quality
Fixes:-
– [Xbox] Fixed an out-of-memory crash on Xbox Series S.
– [PC] Fixed crashes related to Intel XeSS upscaling.
– [PC] Dynamic Resolution Scaling is now turned off by default.
– We’ve seen your reports on Dynamic Resolution Scaling causing graphical issues on some graphics cards. While working on a proper fix, we’ve disabled DRS by default on PC. You can still manually enable DRS if desired.
