Arrowhead Game Studio has announced that it will deploy the next Helldivers 2 Warbond, dubbed Polar Patriots, on May 9, 2024, bringing with it fresh weapons and armour among other goodies.
First up, let’s take a look at the new firepower. First up is the AR-61, which is a high calibre assault rifle that features major stopping power but limited magazine size. The SMG-72 Pummeler meanwhile boasts a slower rate of fire than your standard SMG, but its concussive rounds pack a punch.
Finally, we have the PLAS-101 Purifier, which allows players to lay traps before holding the trigger and letting go at just the right time to cause as much carnage as possible.

Secondary weapons include the G-13 Incendiary Impact, which ignites the area in white phosphorus, the P-113 Verdict semi-automatic, and the Motivational Shocks to literally shock Helldivers back into action after being slowed by bug acid vomit.
Here’s a rundown of the new armour:
CW-36 Winter Warrior

Thoroughly pressure-tested by patriotic volunteers as part of the Test Subjects for Super Earth Citizen Advancement Programme. Their sacrifice shall not be forgotten. Passive boost – Fortified.CW-4 Arctic Ranger
Features a nifty utility belt boasting handy pockets that can be filled with any number of things – pocket knives, mementoes, interesting rocks, Terminid tentacles, bits of bots, etc. Passive boost – Scout.
Helldivers 2 was release for the PS5 and PC in February 2024.
