Arrowhead Game Studios has kicked off a major new event in the Helldivers 2 universe, as the Illuminate’s main fleet has finally laid siege to Super Earth, bringing new enemy types with it.
Attention, Helldivers: This is a Galactic Emergency, The true Illuminate invasion has begun. In a sudden and completely unprovoked offensive manoeuvre, the full Illuminate fleet is emerging from the Meridia Singularity. Nothing is safe – not even the Heart of Democracy itself.

Among the new threats that Helldivers will encounter is the Stingray, which are jet fighters that provide the illuminate with support from above by unleashing devastating strafing runs. Meanwhile, the Crescent Overseer is able to “lay barrages on Helldivers” as they retreat behind cover, while the Fleshmob, a failed illuminate experiment, brings brute force to the battlefield.
Helldivers 2 will be bringing out a new Warbond on May 15, which adds a series of extra weapons, armour, and emotes for the celebrated shooter.
