North American PlayStation Plus subscribers will finally get a leg up on their European counterparts with a bevy of free games coming in May.
Arguably the month’s most important bonus is Sleeping Dogs, an open-world crime thriller set in Hong Kong that challenges sandbox conventions with intense combat and a lead character on the right side of the law. Sleeping Dogs is a full PS3 title retailing for $49.99, so that download alone will make your one-year subscription worth it.
Elsewhere in May, Knytt Underground–a Cross Buy game with colorful platforming–will be free for PS3 and PS Vita, alongside PS Vita favorites Germinator and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND. Pinball Arcade rounds out the action with unique tables based on Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Theatre of Magic, and Tales of the Arabian Nights.
Unfortunately, there’s no timetable set for which games will be added to the Instant Game Collection week-by-week, but the list of departing games offers some clues. Take a look at what games are coming and going in May below, and sound off in the comments if this month’s PlayStation Plus lineup has you tickled blue, pink, green, and red.
