Hideo Kojima is clearly not done adding things to his bucket list, as the famed video game designer has now said he wants to be the first person to make a game in space.
The Metal Gear creator recently spoke at the Sydney Film Festival, and revealed that he’d like to spend a decent amount of time in space if he was able to make the trip. Elsewhere, Kojima mentioned he would like to put himself in danger to make him feel alive, using actor Tom Cruise as an example. Cruise is well known for performing his own (extremely dangerous) stunts in the Mission Impossible franchise.

Kojima-san recently celebrated the launch of his latest project, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which arrived for PS5 on June 26. As part of his promotional efforts for the game, Kojima embarked on a Death Stranding 2 World Tour, which included a stop in London where he was joined by cast members such as Norman Reedus.
Following this event, he took X to say how he’s “so glad” that the team never gave up making Death Stranding 2 and were able to finish it, despite issues faced during production You can read our full review of Death Stranding 2 here.
Death Stranding is set to receive a movie adaptation as part of a collaboration between A24, Kojima, and director Michael Sarnoski, although Kojima said that he doesn’t want to interfere with the project too much.
